Attorneys Dell & Schaefer Helps To Raise Over $100,000 For Boys & Girls Club
Attorneys Dell & Schaefer have been long-time supporters of The Boys & Girls Club of Broward County Florida. On October 23, 2009, Attorneys Dell & Schaefer sponsored the Hollywood Boys and Girls Club Texas Hold Em Tournament, which raised over $100,000 for the club.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of America were founded in 1860 in Connecticut to give local boys a positive alternative to the streets. Over the years, that club turned into a national movement reaching membership of over four million boys and girls nationwide.
The Boys & Girls Club of Broward County joined the national organization in 1965 and has grown to thirteen facilities with a membership of over 13,000 boys and girls, making it one of the largest Boys & Girls Club organizations on the nation.
The purpose of The Boys & Girls Club is to help young people improve their lives by building self-esteem and developing values and skills during their critical period of growth. Services and programs provided focus on everything from education, social recreation, health and physical education, to leadership and citizenship development, cultural enrichment, and personal adjustment with one-on-one counseling. The mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs is to assure and to enhance the quality of life for children as participating members of a diverse urban society.
