Attorneys Dell & Schaefer renew their commitment to support the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation

Attorneys Dell & Schaefer have renewed their commitment to help the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) raise money and awareness through the Walk To Cure Diabetes.

Type 1 diabetes, also called juvenile diabetes or insulin dependant diabetes, is an autoimmune disease that strikes children and young adults suddenly, and can be fatal. Each year, approximately 30,000 Americans are diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and of that number over 15,000 are children. That means that 35 children each day, approximately one child per hour, are diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes.

The JDRF is the worldwide leader for research to cure type 1 diabetes and it’s complications. Since it’s founding in 1970 the JDRF has raised more than $1.4 billion for diabetes research. More than 80 percent of JDRF’s expenditures directly support research and research-related education in 22 countries throughout the world.
