Automobile Accident Injures Passenger After Departing Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood Florida

Leaving the busy Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood, Florida at approximately 4:00 a.m., the plaintiff was resting in the backseat of a car while his friend, the defendant, operated the automobile. While on I-95, the defendant lost control of the automobile, which ultimately lead to the defendant slamming the car into a concrete median. The driver was seat-belted, however, the plaintiff, who was resting at the time, was not wearing a seatbelt as it is not required by law for passengers in the backseat. As a result of the accident, the plaintiff sustained severe permanent injuries.

Due to the severity of the crash, the plaintiff was immediately rushed to the emergency room at a nearby hospital where his injuries were assessed. The plaintiff’s injuries included the loss of two front teeth, a six-inch facial laceration, and feelings of disorientation and vertigo. Notably, the crash left an indelible facial scar, which will serve as a permanent reminder of the crash and subsequent injuries sustained thereafter.

The injuries caused the plaintiff to incur substantial medical expenses as well as psychological damage. At the moment, the plaintiff’s attorneys at Dell & Schaefer are working to maximize the settlement for the plaintiff with the hopes of ameliorating this difficult recovery period. The driver carried a $100,000 automobile bodily injury insurance policy and our attorney will be seeking the policy limits.
