Aventura Motorcycle Accident With Fractured Arm and Shoulder Injury

Our client was a 65 year old man riding his motorcycle southbound on Biscayne Blvd. near Ives Dairy Road, in Aventura, FL. As he approached a red light, a teenage driver talking on his cell phone rear ended the motorcycle, causing our client to be thrown onto the pavement. He sustained a fractured arm, a shoulder injury, and road rash when his body landed on Biscayne Blvd.

Our client was rushed to the emergency room at Aventura Hospital where his arm was casted and his wounds were properly cleaned. Subsequently, he came under the care of an orthopedic surgeon. A MRI of the right shoulder revealed a total rotator cuff, which necessitated arthroscopic surgery. After a short course of physical therapy, the orthopedic surgeon stated that our client sustained a 7% permanent partial disability as a result of the injuries he sustained in the accident.

Aventura Motorcycle Accident Lawyers Dell & Schaefer filed a claim against the at fault driver’s insurance company for the $100,000.00 policy limit, which was tendered within 15 days. Our client carried a $100,000.00 UM policy on the motorcycle. That claim is still pending.
