Tarin Kokoskas has been (very poorly) handeling my claim. She asked me to provide her with a dollar amount that I felt was fair for personal settlement. After several more inconsiderate and sneaky acts by the company, I reviewed the minimum coverage offered and asked for that because of the very real risk that we could have died getting my totalled vehicle home – 1200 miles. She immediately denied it and told me to have my lawyer contact her. I am sore but not badly injured. Mostly pretty traumatized from the whole experience. The last firm I contacted advised me to see my doctor as much as possible to document my discomfort even though I personally don’t think my injuries need treatment. I have been treated for PTSD in the past – had been on meds in 2006 to drive a safe vehicle <100 round trip to school each day. I saw a case where your firm recovered $12,500 for a bank worker who was never at risk of injury. I'd like some advice on what my options are with Bristol West and how best to handle my claim. I have been offered an amount on my vehicle that I don't feel will allow me to find a safe ride for my children. After refusing my suggestion at a settlement, Tarin didn't even offer a lower number before telling me to call a lawyer. I think the girl who hit me has the minimum on her policy that I should be entitled to without suing for her max but I really am at a loss…
