Police are still looking for a truck involved in an October 29 Sarasota truck accident. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, around 2:38 p.m. near Bee Ridge Road and Beneva Road, a yellow tree company truck carrying a ladder began to edge into the left lane on State Road 758 heading eastbound, failing to yield to a Ford pickup already in the lane. The ladder attached to the truck’s trailer struck the Ford’s left front, damaging the vehicle. The ladder then fell off the trailer upon impact and the truck driver fled the scene. A Ford Fusion was also stopped in a left turn lane and the ladder collided with the Fusion’s left front when it fell.

At the time of this report, police have not filed any charges and are still looking for the yellow truck involved in the hit-and-run accident. No life-threatening injuries were reported.
