Dairyland Car Insurance Claims

Dairyland Insurance Company is considered to be a non-standard auto insurer and standard motorcycle insurer. This is due to the fact that they will insure drivers that other insurance companies have deemed too risky. These high-risk drivers can include those with DUI records, multiple traffic violations, multiple accidents, or even youth drivers. Unlike other insurance companies, Dairyland’s auto insurance plans will accept high-risk vehicles such as sports cars or customized vehicles that were modified by their owners.

Dairyland sells auto insurance in 35 jurisdictions. The company uses regional underwriting and claims processing centers, claiming this benefits clients. For example, Washington claims are handled in Phoenix, Arizona while underwriting is handled in Denver, Colorado.

Dairyland Insurance also offers motorcycle coverage with a full range of package options. Dairyland promised that even though it offers insurance policies to high-risk drivers and vehicles, their pricing is still competitive and comparative to other insurance companies that typically reject high-risk consumers.

Dairyland Insurance Company is organized as a mutual insurance company. Though many consumers are wary of mutual auto insurance companies, the company assures consumers that it is there for the public. As a mutual insurance company, Dairyland is owned by its members, rather than shareholders. Basically, the clients and owners are the same people when it comes to being “mutually owned”.

Dairyland Insurance agents promote policies from the company by providing consumers a wide variety of policy options as well as payment plans. Agents tailor auto insurance policies based around the needs and affordability requirements of the consumer themselves. This includes trimming policy benefits to minimum state requirements or adding driver limitations to the policy. For example, a policy may exclude coverage of a driver under 25 years of age in order to reduce premiums.

Dairyland Auto Insurance offers a 24 hour claims handling service that is available seven days a week and including holidays. Consumers can file their claims online or call the company’s 24 hour hotline.

Sentry Insurance’s history begins with the creation of Sentry Insurance in 1904. I have been with Dairyland Auto Insurance for close to 15 years now and have been very pleased with their service. How about showing your appreciation to me as a loyal customer and giving me a lower rate. Thank you, Rebecca Hendricks

I am really upset with this insurance. I got in an accident January 13, 2013 and the person who hit me has Dairyland Insurance and he never reported the accident so I did. Now all they tell me is that they will call me back or I haven’t spoken to my client. 2 weeks ago the agent told me she was going to call me and she didn’t, I called the next day and she had gone on vacations for a week! Now I just called and all the agent told me was “I will call you back”… let see if she calls.

I’m with you there, Deborah. I was hit about a week ago by someone with a company called “AllRisk Insurance”, which ended up sending me to Dairyland. The receptionist gave me the claim number and name of the claim agent, but other than that I’ve gotten nowhere. The claim agent refuses to call me back. My wrecked car is about to go to auction and I’m about to get hit with the bill and possible traffic citation for “abandoned vehicle”. Email, fax, phone, no one will respond!

I am very upset with Dairyland. I was in a car accident with a full coverage plan with Dairyland and the car was totalled and now the Dairyland just gives me the run around. Now I can’t claim anything and it’s ruining my credit.

I was a victim of a hit and run on Oct. 1st, 2012, nearly one year ago. Out of 4, only one witness knew me because we were seeking a roommate situation. I was a full-time student with great benefits, Pell Grant, Loans and VA Benefits, which stopped after complications of completing requirements for the course. That was a dream. My worst issue thus far is that I have had 5 or 6 different adjusters, yet not knocking my current adjuster, I am going to be optimistic this will be fair. I have no insurance and the only way I can get chair is ER, I have run out of out of pocket money and I am not able to work or attend school right now. This is unfair, my entire medpay has not even been paid. I could have been to one more visit. I am for the third time faxing bills directly to the adjuster in Ohio tomorrow. Lisa Bell has given me hope an offer will be made within a few days since.

My bills, without reading them, come to within about $5ooo of maximum of $30000 may be above, I will thank you in advance for our kindness, fairness and excellent customer service with expediency in closing case with both of us satisfied.

I was a passenger in a car and the driver is insured by Dairyland Insurance.

They have not paid me for pain and suffering and won’t return any phone calls. It’s been 3 weeks. They offered such a low amount of money, I’m thinking about retaining an attorney to get what I want.

The agent’s name is Kasey and she is awful… I tried talking to someone else in the office and they just made excuses and gave me the big run around.

Tried to pull the well I don’t know what your relationship is with the driver but if you sue their rates will go up.

WORST EXPERIENCE I’VE EVER HAD. I got insurance with the company when I bought my car last year. I spoke with FIVE different agents to sign up for autodraft. THEY NEVER SIGNED ME UP. I had my plate taken away by law enforcement and I was left in the middle of nowhere with my INFANT and a vehicle I couldn’t drive! 31 days and $600 later, I was able to get my plate back and I had to reinstate my insurance ONLY FOR THEM TO CANCEL IT AGAIN IN THE SAME MONTH. They are rude, unhelpful, ZERO customer service skills. Please avoid Dairyland Auto.

I have injuries from a no fault accident. The 19 year old has Dairyland. The adjuster offered me medical up to 8/14, lost wages, $500 pain and suffering, will not pay for physical therapy. $1500 total. What is up with that?

The accident totaled out the vehicle that I was driving. The axle broke and the tire and wheel flew across the highway. My head took out the drivers side window. I hate loud noises now, I’m scared of traffic. I work in pain. I lay down after work, I can’t do anything after work. The insurance company does not understand. I was taken by ambulance to the hospital.

My vehicle was parked outside my house and a lady with Dairyland Insurance ran off the road and totaled my 2007 Ford Tauras. My car has 210,000 miles and Dairyland is only offering me $890 for my car. My tires are fairly new and I can’t replace the car for that price. Can you help me and make it worth it to both of us?

Jon

Attorney Jason Macri:

Hi Jon,

When and where did this incident occur? Have you been able to determine the fair market value of your vehicle? If so, what is the fair market value? Typically an insurance company would be responsible for the fair market value of the vehicle plus tax. You may be able to recoup the pro-rated value of recently installed items as well. You should produce receipts for these items and ask the insurance company for pro-rated reimbursement. Please feel free to call us so we can let you know how we may be able to help.
