Dell & Schaefer Helps Support Local Youth Dive Team

Dell & Schaefer recently sponsored local youth dive team, Seahawks Diving Team, in their Dive-a-Thon fundraising event. Under the direction of their amazing coach, Sally Hansell, Seahawks Diving Team trains young athletes, ages 5 through high school and Masters level, in the graceful and seemingly fearless sport of springboard and platform diving. Through competitive diving, children learn valuable life skills such as sportsmanship, overcoming fear, and working through physical and mental obstacles to achieve personal goals and success. Seahawks Diving Team is affiliated with United States Diving and the Amateur Athletic Union and trains at Nova Southeastern University’s Aquatic Complex in Davie, FL.

Participation in this Dive-a-Thon event was particularly special for Dell & Schaefer as our staff Disability Appeal Specialist’s 10-year old daughter is a member of Seahawk’s Junior Olympic dive team. Dell & Schaefer’s sponsorship will help provide the opportunity for these young athletes to attend competitions at both the Regional and National level, which includes travel all over the United States to compete with the country’s best youth divers.
