Secretary Gets Into An Automobile Accident
Our client, a 63 year old lifelong secretary for a real estate attorney in North Miami Beach, Florida, was driving her vehicle near US 1 and 163rd. Suddenly and without warning, another vehicle driven by a distracted and texting driver, slammed into the rear of our client’s car at a high rate of speed. Our client’s car spun out of control and struck several more vehicles before coming to a complete stop. Dazed and confused, she looked up to find smoke coming from her engine. She exited the car and waited for help to arrive. She called her boss and her boss referred her to the North Miami Beach Automobile Accident Attorneys Dell and Schaefer. Our firm quickly took the case and began the process of zealously representing her interests.
Client Undergoes Injections For Pain
After conservative treatment with a chiropractor failed to give her any long term relief, our client sought medical care from a local orthopedic surgeon. The orthopedic surgeon recommended and administered three epidural injections, two trigger point injections, and a nerve block to the facet joints. Our client needed surgery, as per the doctors request, but since our client was scared to undergo surgery, she decided against it.
Dell & Schaefer Negotiate A Settlement
After the injections were finished, our firm filed a bodily injury demand against State Farm Insurance Company. Our firm sought monetary compensation for bodily injury, aggravation of a preexisting condition, pain and suffering, loss of consortium, disfigurement, disability, mental anguish, property damage, past and future medical expenses, lost wages, and impairment of ability to earn future wages. After a lengthy negotiation, the case settled for $125,000.
