Florida Injury Lawyer: Hit-and-Run Ft. Lauderdale Truck Accidents

A recent string of hit-and-run Ft. Lauderdale truck accidents has authorities desperate to find the perpetrators. The reward for information leading to an arrest in a Sawgrass Expressway hit-and-run truck accident that occurred on October 14 has been raised to $3,000 by authorities.

A man was stepping out of his car on the expressway to check on another driver he had been involved in an accident with when a semi-truck struck him and continued down the highway. The victim remains in critical condition and authorities say they are looking for a white tractor-trailer with a missing lower mirror and right front damage.

Authorities are also still looking for a person of interest in a hit-and-run truck accident that occurred on the Florida Turnpike on October 7. The two victims of the accident were changing a tire on the side of the northbound lanes when a semi-truck veered off the main road and struck them, killing them upon impact. The semi-truck driver then fled the scene. Police had a person of interest but, according to authorities, they have not met with the suspect or seen the alleged tractor-trailer involved in the accident. Police describe the truck as a dark-colored Peterbuilt model with right front damage.

Hit-and-run accidents are an extreme form of negligence in Florida truck accidents. When truckers are on tight deadlines, they may drive carelessly and injure other motorists on the road. When truck drivers are negligent, those who are injured may be able to seek compensation.
