Fort Lauderdale Car Accident Attorney obtains $75,000.00 settlement for ruptured spleen

A 44 year-old Fort Lauderdale, Florida wife and mother of two was injured when the vehicle she was driving was struck on the passenger side by a vehicle that ran a red light at a high rate of speed. Luckily our client was by herself in the vehicle because she had just recently dropped her children off at school. Unfortunately, our client was incapacitated as a result of the accident and required immediate emergency assistance. EMS rushed her to the hospital where she was admitted and remained for several days. It was later determined that she had suffered a ruptured spleen as a direct result of the heavy impact.

The personal injury attorneys from the Law Office of Dell and Schaefer demanded the $25,000.00 policy limits from the at-fault party’s auto insurance company, State Farm, and the $50,000.00 Uninsured/Underinsured policy limits from our client’s auto insurance company, also State Farm. State Farm immediately agreed to tender the $25,000.00 bodily injury policy limits as it was clear that their insured was negligent by failing to stop at the red light. Dell and Schaefer prepared to file suit against State Farm for the Uninsured/Underinsured coverage but were able to settle the claim for the $50,000.00 policy limits just prior to the filing of the lawsuit.

The result was a total settlement of $75,000.00 on behalf of our client. She was very happy with the outcome of her case and the fact that we were able to secure her the policy limits from all applicable insurance policies. This settlement allowed her to be compensated for the pain and suffering she experienced as a result of her painful injury. She reported vast improvement of her health in the weeks following her release from the hospital and was able to return to work several weeks later.
