Fort Lauderdale Truck Accident Injures One

A Fort Lauderdale truck accident occurred in the early morning of July 25, causing one person to suffer significant injuries.

The accident occurred near the intersection of U.S. 441 and Sunrise Boulevard, according to NBC 6 South Florida. At the time of the report, the cause of the wreck was unknown, and the only available information stated that an 18-wheeler truck had somehow overturned. No charges had been filed at the time of the report, although police were still investigating.

Semi-truck crashes cause close to 4,000 deaths every year, according to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. Far too many of these fatal accidents are caused by negligent drivers, poorly maintained trucks and aggressive motor cars who force trucks into situations where they cause collisions. In addition to death, these crashes can also inflict serious personal injuries on the survivors.
