Ft. Pierce Auto Accident settles for $100,000.00 policy limit
Our client, a 35 year old mother of an infant and 6 year old, was traveling southbound on 25th Street, when a vehicle driving westbound on Okeechobee Road ran a red light and broadsided her vehicle at full speed. Our client was rushed to the emergency room, where she was treated for a broken arm, and neck and back injuries, before being admitted to the hospital overnight.
Upon being discharged from the hospital, our client came under the care of an orthopedic surgeon. She was immediately prescribed physical therapy for her neck and back injuries. She wore a hard cast on her left arm for approximately 6 weeks, which made her physical therapy a bit more challenging. Our client was also unable to care for her small children with her broken arm and back injury, so she hired a live in to assist her for 1 month.
After several months of treatment and therapy, our client was released by her doctor. Her orthopedic surgeon stated that although her fractured arm recovered well, a bulging disk in her back continues to cause pain. He further stated that our client sustained a 7% partial disability as a result of the injuries she sustained in this auto accident.
Our client retained Ft. Pierce car accident attorneys, Dell & Schaefer, to represent her in her claim for damages against the insurance company for the driver who ran the red light. Dell & Schaefer presented a claim for pain and suffering, outstanding medical bills, and reimbursement for the domestic help she had to hire to help her care for her children.
The case settles for the $100,000.00 policy limit without filing a lawsuit. Our client was extremely satisfied with the outcome of her case. She was most happy that the case resolved quickly, without the cost, time, and aggravation of going through the litigation process.
