Client Struck By Vehicle That Flees The Accident Scene
Our clients, a mid-thirties couple living in Miramar, Florida, were driving along a road in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The car in front of them stopped at a stop sign and then proceeded to make a right turn. Our clients then proceeded up to the stop sign so they could stop and go. As they were pulling up to the stop sign, suddenly and without warning the car in front of them put the car in reverse, backed up violently and smashed into the front of their car. The car in front then made a left turn instead of the right turn. It was obvious that the driver of the vehicle in front realized he was making the wrong turn and then tried to correct his mistake by improperly backing his car up. The front car stopped, stuck his hand out the window in an effort to apologize for striking our clients vehicle and then sped off without reason, leaving our clients helpless in the street. Fortunately the husband was able to get the license plate number before the front car took off.
Our Clients Were Unable To Hire An Attorney At First
Dazed and confused, our clients did not know what to do. They went home and looked up personal injury attorneys on Google and they called every attorney that came up on the list. When each law firm found out that it was a hit and run and all the clients had was a license plate number, none of the firms were interested in taking the case until our clients were able to find out who the car belonged to and whether or not it was insured. Fed up and tired from all the rejections, our clients asked a friend to refer a very aggressive law firm to represent them. This friend recommended our firm – the Miramar Hit And Run Attorneys Dell and Schaefer. Our firm had a trick up our sleeves that most of our competitors were unaware of. Our firm has access to a state wide database that allows us to run a search for automobile insurance on a vehicle with simply a license plate number and get an instant response. Our firm ran the search and found out that the hit and run driver did in fact have insurance. We opened up a claim immediately.
Dell and Schaefer Negotiate A Settlement
After our clients finished treatment our firm filed a bodily injury demand against the insurance company for the hit and run driver. Our firm demanded monetary compensation for bodily injury, pain and suffering, loss of consortium, disfigurement, mental anguish, disability, property damage, past and future medical expenses, lost wages, and impairment of ability to earn future wages. We also demanded extra money for punitive damages for the hit and run. After a lengthy settlement negotiation, our firm settled the case for a large sum of money (we are unable to disclose due to a confidentiality agreement). Our clients were ecstatic that they called our firm after several rejections from other law firms and that our firm was more up to date than our competitors when it came to investigating for insurance coverages.
