Hollywood Bike Accident

Client Is Struck While Riding A Bicycle

Our client, who is a barber by trade, was riding his bicycle to work.  It was a nice day out, and our client thought he should ride a bike to work to save on gas and protect the planet rather than use his gas guzzling car.  To his devil’s own luck, as he was riding down the road, another driver who was texting, Facebooking, watching Youtube, and doing everything he could besides paying attention to the road, pulled out in front of our client causing our client to strike the vehicle and fly face first over the hood and face plant onto the concrete.  Dazed and confused, but happy to not suffer any broken bones, our client called the police to report the incident.  While waiting for the police, he then called the Hollywood Bicycle Accident Attorneys Dell and Schaefer.

Client Undergoes Treatment

Our client went to the hospital and fortunately did not suffer any serious life threatening injuries.  The hospital doctor diagnosed our client with whiplash, abrasions, and sprain/strain.  He then went to a local medical clinic where he received chiropractic and orthopedic care.  The MRI showed multi-level bulges and herniations up and down his spine.  The orthopedic doctor administered one round of epidural injections for pain relief.

Dell and Schaefer Negotiate A Settlement

After the injection, our firm sought monetary compensation for bodily injury, aggravation of a preexisting condition, pain and suffering, loss of consortium, disfigurement, disability, mental anguish, lost wages, past and future medical expenses, lost wages, and inability to earn future wages.  After a lengthy negotiation, our firm settled the case for $55,000.  Call us for a free consultation, we do not charge a cost or fee unless we recover money for you.
