Our Client Is Struck While Riding His Motorcycle
Our client was riding his motorcycle in Miami Beach, Florida. Suddenly and without warning, another vehicle swerved into our client’s lane and struck him with the side of the car. The impact caused our client’s handlebars to buckle which then caused our client to lose control of the motorcycle. The motorcycle then fell to the ground launching our client off the motorcycle and onto the pavement. Client Undergoes Surgery
After the accident, our client was rushed to the hospital. The hospital did not find any life threatening injuries and released him with medications. Our client then sought the care and medical attention of a local chiropractor. After conservative treatment failed to provide any long term relief our client sought medical care with a local orthopedic surgeon. The orthopedic surgeon diagnosed our client with a rotator cuff tear to the shoulder. The surgeon then performed arthroscopic surgery to repair the damage to the shoulder.

After the surgery, our firm filed a bodily injury demand against the insurance company for the tortfeasor. Our firm sought monetary damages for bodily injury, aggravation of a preexisting condition, pain and suffering, loss of consortium, disfigurement, disability, mental anguish, property damage, past and future medical expenses, lost wages, and impairment of ability to earn future wages. After a lengthy negotiation, the case settled for $100,000 which was the limits available under the policy.
