Client Gets Into An Automobile Accident

Our client, a mid-30s woman, was a passenger in her friend’s car while driving in the sunny Florida Keys. Suddenly and without warning, a tourist driving a rental vehicle who lacked basic driving skills, pulled out in front of the car our client was riding in. The actions of the tourist caused our client’s vehicle to T-bone the tourist vehicle causing a huge impact accident. The air bags deployed, the cars spun around 180 degrees, and our client was flung in and about the car causing her to sustain serious injuries to her neck, back, and face.

Our client was unconscious for a minute or two before awaking to realize what had happened. With blood everywhere she realized she lost approximately 8-10 teeth as a result of the impact. In addition she had severe head, neck, and back pain. Not knowing what to do, she called the Florida Keys Automobile Accident Attorneys Dell and Schaefer. Our firm quickly took the case and began the process of zealously representing our client’s interests.

Client Undergoes Treatment and Dental Surgery

Because our client did not have any medical insurance, our firm entered into a contract with a Miami dentist to perform the dental surgeries and then receive payment when the case settled. In addition, she also sought care from a local chiropractor for the pain to her neck and back. After months of treatment and surgeries she was finally back to normal and could return to work and life.

Dell and Schaefer Negotiate A Settlement

After the medical care ended, our firm filed a bodily injury demand against the insurance company. Our firm sought compensation for bodily injury, aggravation of a preexisting condition, pain and suffering, loss of consortium, disfigurement, disability, mental anguish, past and future medical expenses, lost wages, and impairment of ability to earn future wages. After a lengthy negotiation, our firm settled the case for close to $200,000. Our client was absolutely thrilled that our firm could recover enough money to compensate her for her injuries and put a substantial amount of money in her pocket for pain and suffering.

Hi Robert,

When did this happen and where is the Shake Shack located? What was the object or item inside of the burger? Do you still have the item? Did you photograph the item? Did Shake Shack employees take possession of the item? Have you photographed the broken tooth? Has any dentist seen the broken tooth yet? Has the broken tooth since been fixed? Please feel free to call us so we can let you know how we may be able to help.

I was eating a popular chip brand, I bit down on a hard object that the company rep said was leftovers from preparation and should not have been there and unfortunately made it through quality inspection he was apologetic. I suffered immediate pain. It injured one of my front teeth to the point I couldn’t eat for days. Suffered headaches and loss of sleep. My dentist due to covid and appointments couldn’t get me in for 16 days after the injury. I sent pics of the objects they sent a dental injury form for my dentist to fill out.

I go to the Dr tomorrow, my tooth is extremely sensitive to touch, eating and fluid temps. It is very painful as I assume I have a broken tooth at the gumline. No decay, fillings or previous injury to the tooth. With very little deceased pain in the last 2 weeks I assume the tooth has a poor prognosis.

Should I wait to see what the company has to offer or retain legal representation now?
