One Killed in Crestview Truck Accident

One person was killed in a Crestview truck accident on January 8. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a truck driver operating a Peterbuilt semi-truck died after his truck swerved off I-10 and overturned, causing the cab to catch fire.

FHP reported that the truck was heading east on I-10 around 11 a.m. when his vehicle left the road and hit a Ford truck that was stopped on the shoulder of the interstate. The semi-truck then crossed both lanes, hit a guardrail, overturned and caught fire. According to FHP, the driver of the semi-truck was dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup truck was not injured in the accident, but damage to the Ford truck was estimated at $10,000.

Florida truck accidents caused by inattentive drivers can cause serious injuries, such as brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, broken or lost limbs and other health issues that could require long-term medical care or rehabilitation.
