Osceola Truck Accident Tragically Kills 6-Year-Old

A 6-year-old girl has been pronounced dead following an Osceola truck accident that also seriously injured her mother and sister, according to the Orlando Sentinel. The girl was with her mother and sister in a Toyota van on August 5, and as they slowed to make a left turn into a driveway, a Mack truck behind them braked and steered left but still collided into the van. The Mack driver sustained no injuries.

The young girl was trapped in a water-filled ditch after the van was thrown into the ditch by the collision. After being taken to the Lawnwood Regional Medical Center, she was pronounced dead the day after the accident. Police are still investigating whether charges or citations will be warranted.
