I was injured in Florida, but I live in another state or out of the country, can I still pursue a case?

Absolutely. The mere fact that you do not live in Florida, nor live in the United States, does not preclude you from pursuing a case. Our firm has handled thousands of cases for clients who live out of state or live in another country. Often times injuries occur while people are on vacation.

For instance, a recent case our firm settled, the clients were from Israel and they were visiting family in Florida. While on vacation, a car ran a stop and struck the car our clients were riding in. The impact was so great our clients had to go to the hospital. After the hospital visit they immediately went back to Israel. While in Israel, they sought medical care from a local doctor who diagnosed one of them with a fractured rib and the other with a neck and back sprain. Our firm was able to get the medical records from the doctors in Israel, got the documents professionally translated into English from Hebrew, and we settled the cases for $50,000. When it was time to sign the necessary paperwork, our firm simply emailed the documents to the clients. They were able to sign them, scan them, and email them back to our firm. It was that simple. Once the case settled and it was time to disburse funds, our firm simply wired the funds to our clients bank accounts in Israel.

In another case, our client slipped and fell while at Disney World sustaining a severe injury to the neck and back. The client then went back to their home state of New York. While in New York, our client sought medical care at a local chiropractor. After all of her treatment was done, our firm filed a bodily injury demand against the insurance company for the responsible party at Disney World. After a lengthy negotiation, the case settled for an undisclosed amount of money. When it was time to sign the paperwork, our client did not have access to email (she was an older client who never caught on to technological advancements). Our firm simply sent the paperwork via Federal Express to her house. She signed them and sent them back through Federal Express. When it was time to send her the settlement check, we simply sent it via Federal Express. The case settled just as easily as it would have settled had the clients lived in Florida.
