Resolved Cases: Our client was a husband and father of two minor boys when he died in an automobile accident as the result of the negligence of a commercial truck driver. The trucking company claimed that the decedent failed to use due care and was speeding. Prior to filing a lawsuit we were able to obtain the maximum policy limits of $1,000,000 for our client’s family.
Resolved Cases: Our client was the mother of an 11 year old boy that died when he drowned in a commercial bus that went out of control and into a canal. We filed lawsuits against numerous entities such as the bus driver, bus owner, bus manufacturer, the state of Florida Department of Transportation, driver of the car that hit the bus, and the manufacturer of the tire that was on the car that hit the bus. The damages sought were to compensate the mother for the emotional pain and suffering of losing her son. The case was resolved at a court ordered mediation prior to trial.
Resolved Cases: A Federal Express delivery truck rear-ended our client’s car resulting in neck surgery for our client.
Resolved Cases: A delivery truck t-boned our client at an intersection. The defendant claimed no liability. Our client was hospitalized for 3 days and suffered a brain injury.
Resolved Cases: A garbage truck driver negligently ran over our client’s foot resulting in loss of a toe and several surgeries. The garbage truck company denied liability.
Resolved Cases: Our clients were brother and sister participating in a church outing to Orlando with 16 other children. The church bus driver lost control on the highway and the commercial bus went into a canal. The sister was seriously injured and her brother drowned.
Resolved Cases: An 18 wheeler truck improperly changed lanes causing our client to lose control of his vehicle and go off the highway into a canal. Our client, the driver, drowned as a result of the accident. The trucking company paid their policy limits.
Resolved Cases: An 18 wheeler trucker at a loading dock backed into our client while he was parked in his 18 wheeler truck. Our client sustained serious injuries resulting in neck and back surgery.
Pedestrian Accident: Our client was directing traffic at an intersection when a garbage truck ran over his foot resulting in amputation of his toe and crushing of his foot. The garbage truck company claimed that our client was not paying attention and walked backwards directly into the path of the garbage truck. The garbage truck company denied liability.
Our legal team was able to prove that the driver of the garbage truck was lying and that he should have seen our client. At a court ordered mediation prior to trial the case was resolved to the satisfaction of our client.
Pedestrian Accident: Our client was killed when he was struck by a car while crossing the street at night. Our client had a blood alcohol level above the legal limit and the defense claimed he was drunk and not crossing in the cross walk. Through extensive investigation and a recreation of the accident, we are able to prove that the driver should have seen our client in the street. Prior to trial, the driver’s insurance company tendered the full value of their insurance coverage.
Nursing Home Neglect Injury: Our client was a resident in a nursing home/assisted living facility and suffered from mild dementia. A member of the cleaning crew left a small bucket of cleaning fluid on the counter in the kitchen/recreation area and our client drank it. He remained hospitalized for 8 days with severe chemical burns to his esophagus mouth and stomach. Our client told a family member that he thought there was soup in the bucket. Our client died of his injuries after the short hospitalization. The assisted living facility was held liable for negligence in the death of your elderly client for leaving a dangerous poison in an area where residents live and congregate.
Motorcycle Accident: Our client was riding his motorcycle home from work when a commercial truck driver cut him off. Our client lost control and slid across the asphalt with his motorcycle. Our client sustained several fractures and a life threatening punctured spleen and lung. The defense initially challenged liability claiming our client improperly changed lanes and was speeding. Prior to filing a lawsuit we were able to resolve the claim for the insurance policy limits of the vehicle that caused our client to crash.
Motorcycle Accident: Our client was a 24 year old marine that sustained severe leg injuries when a driver cut him off while he was travelling at 50 mph on his motorcycle. Our client was ejected from his motorcycle. The defense denied liability and argued that our client was travelling at speeds in excess of 90 mph. Through the use of several accident reconstructionist experts and an animated recreation of the accident, we were able to prove that our client was not speeding and the driver of the car failed to use due care. After extensive litigation the case resolved at a court-ordered mediation.
Defective Vehicle Accident: We represented a former police officer that was injured when the 12 passenger van he occupied lost control and rolled several times. Our client was ejected and suffered serious injuries. The lawsuit was filed against both the vehicle manufacturer and tire manufacturer.
Defective Vehicle Accident: We represented the mother of a 17 year old girl that died when the van she was passenger in lost control and rolled off the road. We argued that the van was defectively designed for numerous reasons which resulted in the death of our client and 2 other girls. The case was resolved confidentially.
Defective Vehicle Accident: Our client was the mother of a 13 year old boy that died as the result of the defective design of a 26 passenger bus. When the bus went off the road due to a tire separation from a different vehicle, our client’s vehicle became submerged in a canal and our client was unable to escape. We filed a lawsuit arguing that the van manufacturer failed to properly design a safe method of evacuation in an emergency situation. The case was resolved prior to trial for a confidential sum.
Defective Vehicle Accident: We represented numerous passengers in a 15 passenger van that were injured when their van lost control and rolled off the road. Our law firm argued that the vehicle was defectively designed due to its high center of gravity, extended cab without proper wheelbase and poor handling characteristic in emergency situations. The case was resolved prior to trial for a confidential sum.
Defective Tire Accident: Our client was returning from a SWAT Police competition when the tread of his rear tire separated causing the vehicle to lose control and rollover several times. Our client sustained several severe injuries required numerous surgeries and ended his career as a police officer. A lawsuit was filed against the tire manufacturer and the vehicle manufacturer.
Defective Tire Accident: A Ford Expedition with a defective rear tire lost control and crashed into the bus that our clients were occupants of. The bus went into a canal and drowned. Three children drowned in the canal and 15 other children were seriously injured. This lawsuit was brought against a tire manufacturer and vehicle manufacturers.
