Tampa Truck Accident Kills One

A Tampa truck accident took the life of a 19-year-old woman.

Early in the morning of July 22, the unnamed woman was driving near the intersection of Causeway Boulevard and 86th Street. Her vehicle was slowing as it approached the intersection and was struck by a tanker truck. She died at the scene of the accident.

Tanker trucks are several thousand pounds heavier than the average motor vehicle. When these massive trucks collide with a typical car, the latter sustains much heavier damage than the truck, and the car’s occupants often receive much more serious injuries than the truck driver does.

Truck accidents have many different causes, but the results are always the same: injuries, damage and the death of innocent people. If these accidents are caused by the negligence of a truck driver or trucking company, they must be held accountable in order to prevent such accidents from happening again. At the Dell & Schaefer Law Firm, we also believe that they must be made to pay for the pain, suffering and loss that their mistakes cause.
